Groundwater Withdrawal Request

A government service that allows the customer to request a permit to withdraw groundwater resulting from drilling work and drain it into the department’s rain drainage network.

Required Documents

    Business

  • NOC ,No Objection Certificate

  • The commercial license of the executing company (groundwater drainage company) issued by the Emirate of Ajman

  • site plan

  • groundwater withdrawal letter from customer

  • A copy of the follow-up card for the installation of a groundwater drainage pipe

  • In the event of a request to use a vehicle to extract groundwater, a valid copy of the tanker’s ownership from both sides, issued by the Emirate of Ajman, shall be added.

  • In the event of requesting a permit for an earth berm to collect water, a copy of the approval of the Planning and Survey Department for the plot of land on which the berm will be implemented in addition to the approval of the Investment Administration

Process

  • 1 Submitting the request via mobile application MPDA
  • 2 Processing the application and obtaining the initial approval
  • 3 Apply for the follow-up card from MPDA application
  • 4 Obtain final approval
  • 5 Submit a request for completion of work

Service fees

  • Drainage in the sea: insurance fees AED 10,000 / Service fees AED 100 per day

  • Drainage in a manhole not connected to a pumping station: insurance fees AED 5,000 / Service fees AED 200 per day

  • Drainage in a manhole connected to a pumping station: insurance fees AED 30,000 / Service fees AED 500 for the pump per day

  • Collecting water inside an earthen berm: insurance fees AED 10,000

  • Using an existing pipe: Service fees AED 50 per day

  • Fees for permitting a vehicle to draw water with a capacity of 10,000 gallons: Insurance: 10,000 dirhams - Fees: 4,000 dirhams per month

  • Fees for permitting a vehicle to draw water with a capacity of 5,000 gallons: Insurance: 5,000 dirhams - Fees: 3,000 dirhams per month

  • Fees for permitting a vehicle to draw water with a capacity of 1,000 gallons: Insurance: 3,000 dirhams - Fees: 1,500 dirhams per month

  • A fine for not renewing a Manhole use permit is 400 dirhams per day
